Privacy policy

Last updated: October 5, 2026. The Spanish version (Política de tratamiento de datos) is the legally binding text.

Who is responsible for your data?

The data controller is Sociedad de Profesionales Expertos SPE S.A.S., tax ID (NIT) 900.894.344-9, a company based in Medellín, Antioquia (Colombia), which operates commercially as btodigital and runs carlosbetancur.co.

What data do we collect?

Only what you voluntarily provide in the site's forms: name, email address and, if you choose to share them, phone number (WhatsApp) and professional specialty. Phone and specialty are optional and never a condition for receiving any material.

The website also records technical data such as IP address, browser and referring page, along with the identifiers of the measurement cookies described below.

We do not collect sensitive data (such as health information, ethnic origin, political or religious views, or biometric data) or data from children or adolescents. If we ever asked for sensitive data, answering would always be optional.

What do we use it for?

  • To send you the material you requested, such as the PDF books.
  • To email you content, news and offers on medical marketing, digital marketing and artificial intelligence. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
  • To message or call you on WhatsApp or by phone about the material you requested and btodigital's services, if you gave us your number. Just reply "stop" and we won't message you again.
  • To offer you consulting, training or speaking services, if your profile is a fit.
  • To measure our campaigns and improve the site's content.

We do not sell or hand over your data to third parties for them to contact you on their own.

How do you give your consent?

When you submit a form on this site, after being informed that your data will be handled under this policy, you give your prior, express and informed consent to receive the material you requested and for the other purposes described here, including contact by email, WhatsApp and phone. On the book forms you do so by checking the box to accept this policy. We keep a record of each submission (date, page, data provided and box checked) as proof of that consent.

Who do we share it with?

Only with service providers acting on our instructions: the CRM where we store contacts (Clientify), the infrastructure that runs the site (Google Cloud), email delivery services, and the advertising and measurement platforms (Meta and Google) that receive encrypted data to attribute campaigns. Some of these providers are located outside Colombia; by accepting this policy you authorize the international transfer of your data for these purposes.

Cookies and advertising measurement

The site uses the Meta pixel and Google Analytics. When you submit a form, we send Meta an encrypted version of your email, and of your phone if you provided it, to attribute the conversion to the right campaign. Meta does not receive this data in plain text and cannot reconstruct it. You can block these cookies in your browser settings.

What are your rights?

As the owner of your data, you may at any time and free of charge:

  • Know what data we hold about you and how we use it.
  • Update or correct it if it is incomplete or inaccurate.
  • Request proof of the consent you gave.
  • Withdraw your consent and ask us to delete your data, unless a legal or contractual duty requires us to keep it.
  • File complaints with Colombia's Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC).

How to exercise your rights

Requests and complaints are handled by the management of Sociedad de Profesionales Expertos SPE S.A.S. Write to cbetancur@btodigital.com with your name, ID document, the right you want to exercise and a way to reply to you.

  • Inquiries: we reply within ten (10) business days of receipt. If that is not possible, we will explain why and reply within an additional five (5) business days.
  • Complaints (correction, update, deletion or non-compliance): we reply within fifteen (15) business days. If that is not possible, we will explain why and reply within an additional eight (8) business days. If information is missing, we will ask for it within five (5) business days; if two (2) months pass without it, we will consider the complaint withdrawn.

Before going to the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce, you must first submit your inquiry or complaint to us.

How long do we keep it?

For as long as the purpose remains valid and you have not withdrawn your consent. If you request deletion, we remove your data from our active databases and ask the providers that hold it to delete it.

Validity and changes to this policy

This policy has been in force since September 12, 2026. If we make a substantial change we will publish it here with a new update date, and if it affects the purpose of the processing we will let you know before applying it.
